Sir,

I am a walk-in customer who recently purchased jewelry worth Rs 1,10,500/-. My feedback about your shop is as under;-

1.       Lack of transparency about Quantity;-

Customer has to depend on your staff for the weight of gold. The weighing machine is not visible to customer. Whereas at all other shops / business establishments weighing machine is visible to customer.

2.       Lack of transparency about Quality;-

The items which I purchased were not Hallmarked. I had to give them back to your shop for being hallmarked. Even then, they were not hallmarked from an agency duly approved by Indian Bureau of standards. Whereas at all other shops / business establishments weighing items are previously Hallmarked by govt approved agency before being sold.

3.       Lack of transparency in Billing;-

Billing does not mention rate at which Gold was sold and/or cost of value addition i.e. making charges separately. Whereas all other shop-owners give precise details of items which go to makeup the grand total.

4.       lack of knowledge in staff;-

Staff is not aware of location of agency where its gold jewellry is hallmarked. Whereas staff of every other shop will tell you not even the name and general location but even the address of agency where their items have been hallmarked.

5.       lack of transparency in staff;-

One particular staff member whose name I DO NOT KNOW appears to be a habitual liar. Such staff will put of any customer. The staff at other places is generally knowledgeable and if in any case they do not know

anything they will inquire and answer truthfully.

About me;

I usually buy things / jewellry for my servants/their families and they are usually bought on impulse. As you would have also noticed, I bought things from shop within half an hour of entering your shop without careful scrutiny of factors mentioned above and assuming them  to be available as in other shops. Like any other conscientious shop owner, you would be interested in customer feedback to enable you to serve your customers and resultantly serve yourself better, hence this mail.

I am to buy a diamond Pendent and one diamond ring within this month but because of my experience with your shop as detailed above I would not be visiting your shop again either to make present purchases or future purchases.

6.      Selling stones at rate of gold. 

         All reputed and big showroom tell net weight and gross weight   seprately, whereas you refuse to seprate weight of stones from weight of Gold. only small shopkeepers measure weight of stones with gold.

7.  one of the satff/part owner stated that difference between 22 ct gold and lower ct gold is only 1000/2000 in my bill which is not true. At 14ct to 18 Ct, the difference is 33%-20%. At cost of 1,10,500 the total differerence between what I paid for and what my purchase was actually worth can be between 40,000 - 12,000.

the establishments which have earned trust stay for all times and thier shops are always full of customers, wheras others are short timer and mainly depend on Kitty ladies. it depends on yopu wheter you want to be permanent or just short time or small shopkeeper.
